Solo Travel
Travelling by yourself can be one of the most exciting and uplifting experiences, no matter your age, and can massively benefit your mental health, helping you grow as an individual. It is an opportunity to switch off and disconnect, improve your self-confidence, appreciate your own company and meet new people. We encourage solo travellers to join our tours and take advantage of our travel packages that offer a free ‘Twin to Share’ service where you pay to share a room rather than the supplement for a single room. This option means that we pair you up with another athlete of the same sex so you can enjoy the event without having to pay the single occupancy supplement.
‘Twin to Share’ is a free service that we provide where we pair up people within our group of runners or cyclists of the same sex to share a twin room (a room with 2 single beds). This allows people to make new friends and to make the trip more affordable by not having to pay a supplement for the single occupancy of a room. Please remember that all our customers are taking part in an event, so it is important that everyone gets a restful night.

Getting the most out of your trip
Here are some recommendations to ensure you get the most out of your trip;
- Having an easy-going attitude
- Being considerate towards your roommate
- Respecting each other’s space and need for rest
- Joining and participating in our group activities on the trip
Please do not book this service if you are aware that you have personal habits which could disrupt the other person’s rest and therefore enjoyment of the event. We recommend that you book a single room in this case.
We welcome all nationalities across our running and cycling events and aim is to take care of all the event related logistics so you can focus on realising your goals from setting a PB to just having a great time with some like-minded people.
You can be as independent as you want to be with the freedom to explore or join our host and the rest of the group to enjoy some group based activities.
To ensure that you get the most out of the event our staff provide welcome meetings and race briefings on many of our tours. These meetings also let you meet the other people in our group so our tours are ideal for anybody from solo travellers to groups.
Our office-based teams in Manchester, Charlotte, Dublin and Paris are available to assist if you have any questions before you travel and our expert reps will be on hand to support and guide you during your trip and are there with you from the start line to the finish line and will support throughout, in our dedicated Cheer Zone so that your friends and family are supported too, and if you are a solo traveller, we will give you an extra cheer!
