For the 2027 event, London Marathon will take place across two days, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April – our London 2027 packages will focus exclusively on the Sunday race.
As the official tour operator for the London Marathon, we offer guaranteed entry without the ballot. Our London Marathon packages include guaranteed bib numbers, conveniently located accommodation, expert on-the-ground support, and premium race-weekend experiences designed to help you perform at your best.

LONDON MARATHON ROUTE
The London Marathon route begins in Greenwich, winding through landmarks like Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and the London Eye. Runners pass the River Thames, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament before finishing on The Mall, near Buckingham Palace.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Getting to London
London is a major international hub with excellent transport links from several airports.
- Heathrow Airport (LHR): London’s busiest airport. Take the Heathrow Express (15 minutes to Paddington Station) or the Piccadilly Line on the Tube for a more economical option.
- Gatwick Airport (LGW): Offers fast train connections to Victoria or St Pancras stations in 30–35 minutes.
- Stansted Airport (STN): Popular with budget airlines. The Stansted Express reaches Liverpool Street Station in 45–50 minutes.
- Luton Airport (LTN): A base for Ryanair and easyJet. Bus and train links take 30-40 minutes to St Pancras International.
Getting Around London
London’s extensive public transport network makes getting around simple and efficient:
- Tube (London Underground): Connects all major areas of the city, including marathon start and finish points. Trains run frequently and cover 11 lines.
- Buses: The iconic red buses cover every neighbourhood, with Night Bus services operating after Tube hours.
- Taxis: Black cabs, Uber, and Bolt are widely available throughout the city.
- Walking & Cycling: Central London is highly walkable. Santander Cycles or Lime bikes (hire bikes) are available for short trips and sightseeing along the Thames and other key areas.

Itinerary
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY
After check-in, you are welcome to visit the London Marathon Expo at the ExCeL London. There, you’ll discover a wide range of featured exhibitors from across the world of running and fitness.
Sports Tours will be hosting a large stand at the Expo, so be sure to stop by and say hello to the team.
In the evening, we invite you to join our welcome drinks, where you can meet your fellow runners and connect with those who are about to share an unforgettable race experience with you.
DAY 2 – pre-race briefing & 5KM SHAKEOUT RUN
Join our team for a morning 5KM shakeout run, starting from your hotel.
Following the run, we will be hosting a pre-race briefing session. The briefing provides valuable insights and last-minute advice to help you prepare for race day, as well as the opportunity to ask any questions.
If you didn’t have a chance to visit the London Marathon Expo yesterday, you can do so today. For those who already explored the Expo, the afternoon is yours to enjoy the vibrant city of London at your own pace.
DAY 3 – TCS LONDON MARATHON & AFTER-PARTY
Today is the day you’ve been training and preparing for – the day of the London Marathon! After an early breakfast at the hotel, our runner-only coach will depart promptly (see your itinerary for details) to take you to the start of this unforgettable race.
Spectators can either ask our hotel-based representative for recommendations on the best viewing spots along the route or join us in our dedicated Cheer Zone to cheer on your runner in style.
After crossing the finish line, runners can return to the hotel at their own pace for a well-earned celebratory drink. Later in the evening, join us for the biggest marathon after-party in London, where runners and supporters come together to celebrate an incredible achievement.
DAY 4 – DEPARTURE DAY
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and, depending on your onward travel, head out to enjoy the city.

THE LONDON EYE
This famous observation wheel offers 30-minute rides in air-conditioned pods with panoramic city views, including landmarks like Big Ben and St. Paul’s. Upgrade options like the Champagne Experience are also available.

TOWER BRIDGE LONDON
Tower Bridge is London’s iconic 19th-century bascule and suspension bridge, famous for its twin towers, glass-floor walkways, and panoramic views over the River Thames.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Buckingham Palace, the monarch’s official residence, is a top attraction, especially for the Changing of the Guard. In summer, you can tour the State Rooms. It’s also near scenic St. James’s Park.
