A medical certificate is compulsory for those take part in any running event in France and is required to be printed and returned to Sports Tours International. The blank medical certificate will be provided with your booking confirmation for you to print and take to your doctor.

The Marathon du Médoc is a full marathon with 23 wine stops combining “wine, sports, fun and health”. Held every September in France’s Médoc region, the 26.2 miles takes runners – (in compulsory fancy dress) – through scenic vineyards and the participants are expected to indulge in 23 glasses of the famed red wine from this area en-route, while also stuffing themselves with local specialities such as oysters, foie gras, cheese, steak and ice-cream. Many of the 10,000 other participants have attended one of the event’s pasta parties the previous evening: a glorious mix of wine, carbohydrates and merriment designed, I suspect, to ensure that you forget you’re running a marathon the following morning.

If airport transfers are included in your package, we will transfer you and your Luggage to the hotel. If you are on a cycling holiday, we will also transfer your bike.

Children are welcome on our trips with the exception of some Hospitality packages.

Any dietary requirements e.g., Vegetarian or Vegan etc needs to be advised to us at booking stage. We will then request the meals with the relevant hotel.

Stays can be extended beyond our standard packages subject to availability at the relevant hotel.

Packages can be paid for online or over the phone by Credit/debit card or Amex, payments can also be made by Bank transfer.

Travel insurance is always advised and is best taken out at the time of making a booking.

Dependent on the trip booked we will have representatives on the package this will be outlined in the individual tour. If we have no representation a 24-hour telephone number will be provided.

Yes, we cater for solo travellers, we can offer single rooms or twin share rooms

On many of our travel packages we offer our free ‘Twin to Share’ service where you pay to share a room rather than the supplement for a single room. We encourage single travellers to join our tours and rooms for single occupancy are available on all our tours, but we also offer the opportunity to book our ‘Twin to Share’ service. This option which means that we pair you up with another athlete of the same sex so you can enjoy the event without having to pay the single occupancy supplement.

All our entries are Guaranteed there is no ballot, lottery or fundraising required once your entry is paid it is guaranteed.

A deposit will be required at time of booking to secure your place.
