The 13.1-mile race kicks off in the heart of Dublin City on O’Connell Street. Runners will head north before looping back to finish in the city centre, taking in Dublin’s vibrant streets, historic landmarks, and electric race-day atmosphere along the way.

DUBLIN HALF MARATHON ROUTE

The 13.1-mile race will start in the heart of Dublin City on O’Connell Street. The course will take runners out of the north of the city and will finish back in the city centre.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Getting to Dublin

Dublin Airport (DUB): Ireland’s main international gateway, located about 12 km north of the city centre. It serves direct flights from across Europe, North America, and beyond.
• Bus: The Aircoach and Dublin Express services run 24/7, connecting the airport with central locations like O’Connell Street, St Stephen’s Green, and Heuston Station in around 25–40 minutes.
• Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside arrivals and cost around €25–€35 for the 20–30 minute journey to the city centre, depending on traffic.

Getting around Dublin
• Buses: Dublin Bus operates an extensive network covering the entire city and suburbs. Services are frequent and reliable.

• Taxis: Taxis are widely available and metered, with apps like Free Now and Bolt providing convenient booking options.

• Cycling & Walking: Dublin is a compact and pedestrian-friendly city, making walking a great option for marathon weekend

Itinerary

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY

Please make your own arrangements to fly to Dublin and transport from Dublin airport to your hotel.

In the evening, join us for welcome drinks in the hotel bar, a perfect opportunity for solo travellers to meet like-minded runners.

DAY 2 – 5k shakeout run

In the morning, we are hosting a group 5k shakeout run to get your legs moving pre-race day past some of Dublin’s sights.

DAY 3 – Dublin Half Marathon race day

Today (02.05.27) you will line the streets of Dublin with thousands of other runners before taking on the Half Marathon. The race begins promptly at 8:30AM. Celebrate your incredible achievements with post marathon drinks in the hotel!

DAY 4 – DEPARTURE day

With so much to see and explore in Dublin, today you can sightsee before travelling home.
