Three of the North West’s most popular running events have announced a partnership with Heart.
Heart will become the exclusive broadcast partner across the North West for the UKFast We Love Manchester 10k taking place on Sunday 10th July, UKFast City Of Salford 10k on Sunday 4th September and the Matalan Merseyside 10k on Sunday 2nd October.
In addition to sharing exciting news and race announcements, Heart will encourage listeners across the North West to run and raise money for Manchester’s charity We Love MCR.
The We Love MCR Charity has recently launched a new initiative ‘The Lord Mayor’s Future Champions’. Its aim is to identify the future generation of Olympic athletes in Manchester. The project will provide support, advice and the opportunity for budding athletes to train on track and field facilities.
Chris Bird, Chief Executive of Sports Tours International, who organise the races said: ‘We are pleased to have Heart North West on board as our official broadcast media partner for the races and thrilled to have their help in encouraging people to run for the We Love MCR Charity.’’
