The Lord Mayor of Manchester CHALLENGES YOU!

The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Carl Austin-Behan challenges you to take part on the 2017 UKFast We Love Manchester 10k and raise funds for the people of Manchester who need it the most.

The race has enjoyed great support from the residents of Manchester since its inception back in 2008, with around 3,000 taking part in the 2016 edition that started and finished on the Regional Athletics Track, at the Etihad Campus.

On Sunday July 9th 2017, enter what has now become known as the ‘People’s 10k’ at an ‘Early Bird Entry Fee Rate’ of just £16 (or £14 for Club Runners) and includes official chip timing, a route on closed roads starting and finishing inside the Etihad Campus, commemorative tech t-shirt and finishers medal.
Sports Tours International, the owners of the race have pledged £1 of every entry will be donated directly to the We Love MCR Charity, assisting with the Lord Mayors vision of “Give a little, help a lot”.

Chris Bird, CEO of Sports Tours International said “Helping the Charity through the UKFast We Love Manchester10k is something we are delighted to be able to do. We work in Manchester and are passionate about making a difference in the city, so the £1 per entry donation is something that will make a huge difference to so many people. We hope businesses in the area feel the same and will fundraise for those less fortunate than themselves whilst having a great time training and completing the race”.
Participants can also come together for the ‘City of Manchester Business Trophy’ where teams of three or more will compete in the race in the mission to raise a minimum of £300 per team for the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s, We Love MCR Charity. The team with the three fastest runners will win the much sought-after ‘City of Manchester Business Trophy’ and the team who raises the most money for the charity wins a “money can’t buy” prize of a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Manchester Town Hall and afternoon tea with the Lord Mayor of Manchester himself!
