Staying Positive! It is Important Now More Than Ever!

At this current time, of uncertainty across the world, it seems that positive thinking is becoming particularly important. To help us get past these challenging times, it is vital that we remain positive; that we remain hopeful. We should look only forward, to the better times to come, and to remember that they WILL come.

The world of sports is no stranger to adversity. Anyone who has ever trained for a running, cycling or triathlon event will be all too aware of the ups and downs of race preparation. From inclement weather, to illness and injury, and even, as we are facing now, event cancellations and postponements. Our community, the active community, never ceases to amaze us with its tenacity. Here, more than anywhere you can witness the power of the human spirit, the drive, the determination and dedication from athletes of every level. The need to get to the finish line, no matter what, has fascinated and inspired the world for centuries.

Contactez-nous

The greatest power of sport is the power to unify. Two people from opposite sides of the planet can be brought together by a team badge, by running the same race, or by conquering the same climbs. It is instant. Our sport brings us together, and it will continue to do so over the next few months.

Online training platforms, blogs, and YouTube channels etc. will keep us training together and keep us motivated. This is something that we are passionate about. That we must keep our community active and strong.

Keep an eye on our blogs and social media platforms in the coming months, and we will keep you informed and motivated, with training advice, indoor workouts and all the latest developments from our events. The most important thing now is to keep going, and stay united. We will come through this ready to take on anything. Together in sport, we can succeed.

For anyone who has had an event cancelled, or postponed, in recent weeks; do not stop, do not give up. The weeks, maybe months, of training you have put in will not have been wasted. It will have given you an incredible fitness base, which you can continue to build on over the next few months. When the races return- which they will-  know that we will be there with you, every step, stroke or pedal turn of the way, as we have been for the past 47 years. So, on International Day of Happiness, look after your own little community, be thoughtful of others, be kind and stay positive. We’ll see you on the other side and can’t wait to see you enjoying yourself through sport in the future.
