Sports Tours International and London Marathon Events announce extension to long-standing ITO partnership

Sports Tours International and London Marathon Events (LME) have announced the extension of their long-running partnership in which Sports Tours International is retained as Exclusive International Travel Partner for the TCS London Marathon.

Following a competitive tender process, LME reappointed Sports Tours at the 2023 TCS London Marathon, cementing the two organisations’ shared purpose of ensuring thousands of international runners can take part in the iconic event.

Sports Tours International’s Chief Operating Officer, Tim Przybysz said: “Sports Tours International is incredibly proud of its relationship with London Marathon Events and we are delighted to be able to continue this partnership and manage the International Tour Operator Programme for the TCS London Marathon for the next four years.

“We have provided this service for more than 40 years and we look forward to building on the hard work that has taken place in developing relationships with other international tour companies throughout the world.”

Sports Tours International founder Vince Regan started organising trips to international marathons back in the 1970s and one of his first trips was to the iconic New York Marathon. A few years later, Vince played an instrumental role helping London Marathon co-founder Chris Brasher to realise his vision of a city marathon with global reach. In the early 1980s, Sports Tours began marketing London Marathon entries worldwide.
