2. KBC Dublin Marathon

When? Sunday 30th October 2022
Why?

Take on this ever-growing marathon (now the 4th largest in Europe), around the beautiful streets of Dublin. The 26.2-mile course is largely flat, making it ideal for those attempting their first marathon or wishing to run a personal best. The fantastic course starts in Fitzwilliam Street Upper and winds through Ireland’s Capital, showing you the sights of Dublin, over the River Liffey and through the beautiful Phoenix Park and finishing in Merrion Square. The Dublin Marathon is sometimes referred to as the ‘Friendly Marathon’ because of the warm, friendly supportive nature of the crowds. This is certainly a marathon to add to your list! After an incredible 40th edition in 2019, which saw a record-breaking number of runners take to the streets of the Irish capital, the Dublin Marathon was sadly cancelled for 2 years due to COVID-19. The good news is, the KBC Dublin Marathon is back! In 2022, there will be around 25,000 up for grabs and a new lottery system implemented so we expect that competition for entry will be as fierce as ever.

Join us for a fantastic weekend in the Irish Capital, famous for its beautiful surroundings, its rich cultural history, the folk music, its shopping and perhaps most of all… for the wonderful Irish spirit and hospitality!
