La Vuelta a Espana official tour operator

Sports Tours International are official tour operators to all of the 3 Grand Tours of Cycling; the Giro d’Italia, the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana.

Included with all of our tours to the stages of the 2016 Vuelta are some exclusive VIP hospitality experiences for both cyclists and spectators. Our experienced staff members are on hand to guide you every step or pedal-stroke along the way whilst you can enjoy the every best of what the 2016 Vuelta has to offer. You will be part of a very small group and we will transfer you between the key elements of your tour. All of our tours include your accommodation, breakfast, lunch and evening meals, together with the official 2016 Vuelta road book and a special Sports Tours International cycling jersey made by Santini.

Our tours to the 2016 Vuelta a Espana

Each of our tours includes three amazing elements, including exclusive access to the Start Village, riding on the stage route and crossing the official finish line as well as finish hospitality. You will go where no other member of the public will have access.

The Basque country and Pyrenees – Wednesday August 31 until Monday September 5

We start in Bilbao where there will be a stage finish and then a stage start. The city will be a fantastic place to stay with the Vuelta visiting. After the Basque country we will move to Pau from where experience the uphill stage finish in the French Pyrenees on the Col d’Aubisque. We will be well placed for the stage the next day as well.

The Costa Blanca finale – Wednesday September 7 until Sunday September 11

Fly in and out of Alicante for this action-packed finale to the 2016 Vuelta. Watch the furious stage finish in the nearby Gandia before the overall winner has to weather the individual time trial before the final mountain stages in and around Benidorm.

Basque Country, Pyrenees and Costa Blanca – Wednesday August 31 until September 11

Have a holiday with a difference and join us for the full 12 days of the 2016 Vuelta a Espana. When the Vuelta journeys south and has its rest day we will ride the infamous Tourmalet in the Pyrenees. We will be there in Castellon before the final weekend in the Costa Blanca.

One of the best experiences for obtaining an insight behind the scenes of the biggest show on earth. Wear your VIP access badge and mill around the official Vuelta a Espana start village with celebrities, journalists and of course the riders and their entourage.

Live the Dream Ride

You will ride on the stage route 2.5/3 hours ahead of the peloton, before crossing the finish line in front of cheering cycling fans. Then stand on the Winner’s podium to have your picture taken and take home your very own slice of Vuelta history. The amount of the route you will ride, varies from stage to stage according to logistics. This is like having your very own Etapa de la Vuelta! Spectators will have podium pictures, and a guided visit of the technical area (TV and Media, anti-doping, podium etc.)

VIP Finishline hospitality

At the finish, you will go to the exclusive VIP hospitality area located very close to the final stretch of the course with a view of the finish. Everyone will be served with drinks and snacks and there are are TVs to watch the LIVE action as it unfolds. After watching the finish, you will celebrate the victory with Champagne as riders arrive!
