This event series does exactly what it says on the tin, and so much more! Brought to you by the Haute Route Group, experts in multi day cycle challenges since 2011, the Gravel Epic series promises an incredible off road cycling adventure. Grave Epic 2021 brings you 2 events in totally contrasting and incredible locations. This is a challenging and unique race experience with second to none race services. When you race with the Haute Route Group, you’re getting as close to the pro rider experience as it is possible to be!

The Gravel Epic race series takes you to two, totally different, but equally incredible locations.

Gravel Epic Switzerland 

Gravel Epic Switzerland will introduce you to alpine gravel racing at its finest! With one single centre for 2 stunning stages, you will be able to discover the great, snowy peaks of Valais the best way we know how – by bike!

Each of the stages at Gravel Epic Switzerland has 2 distance options. If you want to squeeze every second of adventure out of your weekend, then the long course has got you covered. You can enjoy over 200 km of riding in two days, with a meaty 6000 metres of total elevation gain to get stuck into en route too! However, the Gravel Epic Switzerland short route is proof, if ever we needed it, that good things do indeed come in small packages. At 120 km total and 3000 m of elevation, on this course, you can still get all the freedom, fresh-air and adventure you’ve been searching for, and have more time, off the bike, to enjoy this outdoor lover’s paradise!

The base-camp at Gravel Epic Switzerland is tucked away. Surrounded by nature and breath-taking mountains, it is the perfect escape from the stresses and strains of ‘real life’. A place where you can simply relax and enjoy the ride(s).

Gravel Epic Marrakech 

Two weeks later, Gravel Epic offers a totally different adventure, on the other side of the world. Gravel Epic Marrakech is a 3 stage, point to point, extravaganza, offering you a unique and truly authentic way to explore the mighty Atlas Mountains. Red, earthy, gravel tracks, and velvety, star strewn skies will characterise a trip you’ll be talking about for years!

At a total distance of 350 km and including no less than 6000 m of climbs, Gravel Epic Marrakech promises, absolutely, to be the challenge of a lifetime! The accommodation varies from opulent 4* hotels and an authentic, luxury, tent village camping experience, complete with hot showers.

At all Gravel Epic events there are timed and un-timed sections. At the end of the event all the timed sections are added together to make an overall time. This means you can race hard on timed segments, but ride easy on the un-timed stretches. You can enjoy and soak up your incredible surroundings, but also get the most out of your racing experience.
