10k Business Trophy 2017

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BACKING FOR THE ‘BUSINESS TROPHY’!

Sports Tours International and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce are joining forces in 2017, to encourage even more businesses to get their workforce ‘on the move’.

Two of the North West’s biggest and best mass participation running events, the UKFast We Love Manchester 10k and UKFast City of Salford 10k have received the backing of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Businesses of all sizes are being challenged to encourage their workforce to train, get fit, compete and raise money for charity in July and September of this year.

Kevin Harmer, UK Event & Sponsorship Manager at Sports Tours International said; “We are delighted to have the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce on board for our two key 10k events in the region, helping businesses to spread the important message of health, wellbeing and charity fundraising throughout their workforce. More and more these days businesses are needing to think of the well being of their staff and come up with creative ways to raise money for their nominated charity – so what better way to tick both boxes, by entering a team into our Business Trophy and take home the silverware!”.

The Business Trophy is open to businesses of all sizes, with the only stipulation being a minimum of three team members needing to participate. Businesses who have entered teams into these races in 2016 included UKFast, Decathlon Sports, University of Salford, KPMG, Toni & Guy and many more.

Alice Smith, Regional Membership Manager at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce said; “We at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce are delighted to be supporting the Business Trophy for the UKFast We Love Manchester 10k and UKFast City of Salford 10k. With a growing awareness of the importance and impact on staff health, the Business Trophy is a brilliant excuse to encourage team building, raise the business profile and get the blood pumping. We look forward to entering our own GMCC team and joining some healthy competition”.

For the UKFast We Love Manchester 10k Business Trophy in particular, there is an extra incentive for the business that raises the most money specifically for the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s very own charity, the We Love Manchester Charity. That business will win a “money cant buy” prize of a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Manchester Town Hall and Afternoon Tea for five people with the Lord Mayor of Manchester himself!

Entries are open for both races; via www.manchester10k.com and www.salford10k.com where the lead runner can select them self as a ‘Team Captain’ in the application process, and then can invite others to join the team.
